Micro Chip Frequently
Asked Questions
Does it hurt the puppy?
The chip is the size of a grain of rice. It
is normally inserted under the skin between the shoulder blades.
And the insertion may cause a little sore which will heal in a few
days. The puppies generally don't even know when it is inplanted
because the suringe is not any bigger then ones used for vaccines.

There has been a sting of Bulldog Thefts lately.
With an avid chip implanted in your bulldog your recovery and proof
of the dog being yours is much better then without.
We have had bulldogs tatoo-ed also and the tatoos sometimes are
harder to read and more difficult to have done. Micro chipping is
becoming a common practice for identification in all countries today.

What difference is this then the micro chip my vet may
recommend?
The micro chip your vet may use can be a different brand
then Avid. If so it may not be readable by all scanners. Avid uses
a universal chip so that all scanners can read it. If your vet is
using an Avid chip they are exactly the same. And the transfer process
is the same. Normally your charge for this by a vet can be $50 and
up. Which you will save that cost because we provide this service
along with the price of the puppy. |
